Jishukan Ryu Australia sets very high standards for our instructors. Apart from a grading certificate issued by the Headquarters in Japan, our black belt instructors all have Working with Children checks (or equivalent in the various jurisdictions around Australia, eg: Blue Card in Qld), first aid (Provide First Aid HLTAID003) and National Coaching Accreditation Program (NCAP) certification (provided by the Australian Jujitsu Federation, the only National Sporting Organisation for Jujitsu recognised by the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) in Australia). For those who have not yet obtained NCAP accreditation, the minimum standard is the Community Coaching General Principles Certificate issued by the ASC. In addition, in NSW, most instructors in PCYC’s also have a full police check.
As a result of these mandatory requirements within our organisation, our risk profile is very low and allows access to a full insurance portfolio including Public Liability, Professional Indemnity and Personal Injury.
